I'm obsessed with the Olympics. Most people who know me know that about me. I even have a scrapbook with newspaper clippings from the 2002 Olympics. Out of control, I know. But what can I say? So the 2008 Olympics have been on for about 2 weeks now and every night I HAVE to watch them until they end....which means I watch until midnight every night, then I go to bed. I am SO tired, but I just can stop....
Here's my top 2008 Olympic moments:
1. Michael Phelps. Need I say more? The guy is AMAZING!!!
2. The men's swimming relay when Lezak came from behind to 'smash' the French. (Yes I was jumping up and down in my living room screaming at the TV).
3. Shawn Johnson winning the Gold on the Beam. I cried with her parents.
4. Nastia Liukin winning the Gold in overall gymnastics
5. Can you believe they have added BMX biking as an olympic event??? What's next, long boarding?
6. Bella Karolyi. I love that man. Watching gymnastics wouldn't be the same without him.
7. The commentators. Favorite quote: "My mom could anchor this race!"
8. Dara Torres. What an amazing and inspiring story there.
9. The commercials. Yes the Visa ones have made me cry
10. Last but certainly not least, who can forget the incredible Opening Cermonies. It will take a lot to out do that one.
Boy oh boy! I love the Olympics!!!

Go team Canada! "I try to live my life without regrets ... and now I have two!" Love ya Em. Glad to know the Olympic passion continues :)
Em,
Remember when we went to the Olympics in 2002 -- what a sacrifice those 70 dollar tickets were. . . now I would do it all over again, and lets be honest I would spend more. Should we take a road trip to the next olympics?
